The manzanita branch that lifts the tiny birds on this sculpture seems to bring the delicate, darting chickadees into motion. Allen says, "I enjoy watching the chickadees chasing insects and darting among the branches right-side-up and then upside-down. The airiness of this sculpture captures the dainty movement of the birds. The piece has an Asian influence which I attribute to my years spent in Japan."
