The dramatic composition of this bronze can be appreciated at
any angle. The Flying Snow Goose is cast in four parts: the base,
the main body and the two wings, all welded together to make
one whole. Its drama makes the Flying Snow Goose Allen's
favorite work. Before ten thousand people at Stanford University,
Secretary of State George Shultz presented President Mikhail
Gorbachev of Russia with a Flying Snow Goose at the Hoover Institution
in 1992 after Gorbachev's speech about the importance of
law in society.
